One of our lovely client’s uses his mobility scooter every day. His buggy gives him independence and the only chance to go outside, so he can enjoy the sunshine and meet some friends.
.
Living alone and far from the family, going out to meet some people brings him joy, happiness and feeling of fulfilment.
.
Unfortunately, there was a huge problem with the mobility scooter in his residence. Regulations of the building where he lives clearly forbids to park mobility scooters inside the building and there was also no electrical sockets inside to charge the buggy.
.
The electrical sockets in the complex are placed in a very difficult accessible point outside of the building and our client was always dependent on somebody else to help and charge the buggy for him.
.
He felt that he was bothering people and sometimes the scooter was not fully charged. There have been many occasions that our client has gone out on the buggy and he has run out of battery in the middle of town

.
.
After discussing the issue with our client we decided to attend the community meeting for the complex and by translating from English to Spanish language we presented our case for the accessible socket in the lobby.
.
THANKS to the majority of the community meeting who voted “YES”, the mobility scooter access and the electric socket was approved and within the next few days everything was in place

.
.
Life is much, much easier for our client now. He charges his scooter himself, has much more freedom and he does not need to worry that he gets stuck in the middle of town.
.

Sometimes only small things can make a big difference!

.
We believe that it is all about the small big things.
.
And that’s why we do more than anyone and everyone else.
